The Live Wire Lounge is the new Thursday Nite Hot Spot in Schuylkill County with average crowds of 350-400 per nite. During specials events our crowds will range from 450-550 people per nite.The average age group seems to be 25-28 with 10-20% in their 30's and some people in their 40's/50's.All ages fit in. Don't feel like your too old if your in your 40's or 50's.This crowd gets along with all ages and you will feel welcomed.All races are also hanging out here,which is what makes this such a great Dance Club.Where are all the people from?It's 50/50 with 50% from the Southern part of the county and the the other 50% from the Northern part.Pottsville & Shenandoah are the two dominate towns on a Thursday Nite. People are traveling from Reading,Allentown,Hazelton,Shamokin, and Harrisburg. The music preference is Hip Hop/Top 40.We also play some Retro 80's,old Hip Hop from the 80's/90's,Disco,Rock & Country.If the people will dance to it we will play it.Ratio of girls to guys is usually more girls than guys.If you want to get connected,Girls or Guys,this is the best place around.Guys wanting to improve their chances of getting connected?Be a Gentleman,dress properly,treat the ladies with respect and learn to dance,"fast dance/Hip Hop".Standing around & looking cool does not cut it.
Travel time from the Pottsville Diner on Rt-61 North of Pottsville is 7-10 minutes.There is ample parking near the entrance which means no time looking for a parking space.Based on all of the above this place is actually a time saver when compared to some other places.The consensus of many patrons is this:We love the atmosphere,plus the warm cordial welcome given to us by the owners and Live Wire staff and we will coming back every week.We were pleasantly surprised by the large number of fans coming up to the Live Wire from Pottsville,Pt Carbon,Cressona, and Haven.Percentage wise we figure 50-75% of the Southern Schuylkill County crew is traveling to the Live Wire.We expect this figure to rise a bit after the word gets around. The crowd Capacity is 500-600 people.At 500 people we are crowded.The previous owner had a record crowd of 650 with the band UUU & no tables.Keep in Rumors Nite Club in Pottsville would average 350-400 people during their busy nites and we are 25-50% larger.The club was designed to use space efficiently with side counters to park you beverages and with plenty of standing room not to mention a fair number of tables. Currently the tables can seat approximately 150 people + 50 at the bar.We also have a lot of standing room which means we probably have a slightly greater capacity than most clubs.During big events we will reduce the number of tables by 50-75% which should allow us to accommodate additional people.We will admit the maximum number of people,"within the fire code regulations".
Music:
Music during Happy Hour will be 70s,80s,oldies,country.Music from 10:00-1:30 will be a mix of
Hip Hop,Top40,with some Techno,80s,Disco,Rock & Country.It seems there is a big demand for Hip Hop,if this prevails then the amount of Hip Hop played will increase.
No tolerance policy.
Anyone starting a fight meaning pushing,shoving or hitting another person will be barred for life papers being served from a District Magistrate along with your name being posted on the internet on the patrons barred list.Nudity will not be allowed.this is not legal under the PLCB regulations,you will either be reprimanded and or told to leave.Please keep hands off the ladies. Some of these girls are married,engaged or have boy friends.Interested girls will let you know.These are the finest & loveliest ladies in Eastern Pa,including Pottsville to Hazelton, and Tamaqua to Shamokin.Since you are all Gentlemen this should be an easy request.
Advisory:
Anyone being escorted out of the LW for any incident,"other than hitting or threatening someone",still has the option of coming back on another day. Simply call Kenny Payne the owner and request it. He will review the facts.If you hit someone it's a life-time sentence without the possibility of parole.
Security Crew
Our Security crew has always been one of the best,but now it's even better.
State & Local Police:
From time to time you may see police cars in the parking lot.They are here for your benefit and safety and not to harass you.They are a friendly reminder for you to drive carefully and needless to say,"Do Not Drive Drunk",since we will provide a ride on the Boozer Cruiser. If they follow you out of the parking lot turn around and come back to the club,we will give you a ride home.If you leave the mall and are driving in an erratic manner or have a tail light or something not working then they have just cause for stopping you.Please treat these officers with the utmost respect.Remember they are only doing their job.However we do prefer that you ask us for a free ride home.Anyone being stopped or followed by the police should report it to the owner Kenny Payne at 570-277-0112 & leave a message. We need to know two things:was it local or State and exactly where were you stopped.Remember the bottom line is this:Driving under the influence is against the Law!!!!
PS:There have been some reports of people being stopped after leaving the Mall.We are currently compiling information pertaining to these incidents and will post details.Please Drive Carefully.
Free Admission:
Anyone bringing a brand new person to the Live Wire for the 1st time gets in free along with the new person.Most of the door people & security is aware of those people having been here already.
Ladies Nite:
The 1st & 3rd Thursday of every month is Ladies Nite which means No Cover & One Free Drink for the the Ladies,"all nite".Compliments of Dj Ray/Kenny.

Also Dj Ray,Vj Frank & security will provide rides to the
Auburn,Pottsville,Haven & New Philly thur Tamaqua area if needed
Live Wire owners will provide travel to Mahanoy City,Shenandoah,Asland & "possibly Mt Carmel"?
If the weather turns bad,we have several options multiple trips to get everyone home
or portable cotts within the club not to mention,we will be working out a deal
with the Holiday Inn which is at the lower section of the Mall,"within walking distance", next to McDonalds.

The Live Wire Lounge will be creating a permanent Teen Nite Club with a name separate from the Live Wire
Including Big Screen videos,vastly expanded light show with intelligent lighting,high tech laser system
and a 50,000 watt sound system with bass capable of causing your carbonated beverage to literally boil over
on your table.
There will be extensive marketing special & events such as Break Dance contests,Hard Body,Hot Body
Shake Your TailFeather,Techno Sticks Contests,Live Video taping on the big screen,etc. Most of the Thursday Nite
Special events for adults will also be featured @ the Teen Nite Club.This will be your very own Teen Nite Club.We need suggestions for the name.
Keep one thing mind,What does the name look like in Print,advertising,flyers,posters,and lighted signs including neon.
Also the name cannot be long.Remember MTV,TRL,etc

Thursday 03/11/2004 was Spring Break with many regulars back again along with a large College Crowd.It was a crazy Nite from the very beginning with mobing the dance floor,enjoying the pleasant surroundings,lots of heavy drinking and a very high noise level.We apologize for the crowded conditions. Main event of the nite was the Shake your Tailfeather contest with winners being Dionne,"3rd"/Christina,"2nd"/Bea,"1st" from Pottsville/Pottsville & Barnesville. Some faces from the past were here for the first time including the three doors down girl,"Kathy from Haven",Christina from Colorado also know as the perculator girl,who currently resides in Pottsville,Brass Tap crew,Lisa,Allissa,Jen & Kim,"residing currently in Virginia" ,from Shen-do as well as as Jody,Kevin,Sherry,Jess Allison,Danielle, & Bea,the other Shen-Do crew,Renee & Andrea from the Good Sam,Happy hour was larger crowd than usual due to Spring Break with many people showing up early.Linda,Kim from Frackville,"Hello Kim",Daytona Beach girl that just moved to this area,,Mahanoy City,Giradville,Frackville & Mt Carmel,Shamokin,Kulpmont Crew,Angel from Miami..The door prize winner of $50.00 was claimed by a man from Cressona.
Special thanks from Dj Ray,Vj Frank,Security Staff,Bar tenders,Parking Lot attendants and & Live Wire Staff,thank you all for a wonderfull evening @Live Wire Lounge and creating soon to be Eastern Pa's foremost Thursday Nite Dance Party.You guys are Eastern Pa's finest party people.God Bless and we love you all.!!!!

PS:Thursday Happy Hour from 8-10pm featuring $1.50 12 oz domestic beers,$1.00 Drafts,"4 flavors including Coors Lite,Millers Lite,?,Lager",in a 12oz frosted mug,$2.00 mix drinks.
